MOQ and Lead Time for Woven Basket Orders: What Wholesale Buyers Should Expect
MOQ and lead time shape cash flow, assortment depth, and whether your season launches on time.

Why MOQ varies by style and color
Woven basket MOQ often depends on whether a style is ready stock, recurring production, or a custom color run. Core natural colors usually open lower. Special finishes and custom packaging can raise minimums.
Buyers should separate trial MOQ for testing from program MOQ for full-season depth.

Lead time is a calendar problem
Lead time includes production, packing, inspection, booking, and transit. A four-week production promise is not a four-week store arrival. Map backward from your launch date and include buffer for revisions after samples.
Seasonal gift and garden programs are especially sensitive because missing the window destroys sell-through.
How to negotiate with incomplete data
If you do not know final quantities yet, request price breaks at two or three volume tiers and confirm which colors can ship fastest. That lets you place a starter PO and expand without restarting negotiations.
Always write agreed MOQ, lead time, and packaging assumptions into the order confirmation.
